'Another Brick in the Wall', by Making Matters

Together with 4 other Artists in Residence from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, I set up 'Making Matters' in 2020. Its aims are 2 fold: enabling emerging and established artists to sell their work through our pop up shops and running community art projects.

'Another Brick in the Wall' is a community art project, run by Making Matters, celebrating Farnham becoming a World Craft Town. The project came at a very opportune time, enabling people to work together on their bricks, whilst maintaining social distancing during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Local schools, colleges, the University for the Creative Arts, care homes, 318 Ceramics, Scouts, Creative Response, Enterprise-19 and the Public took part in brick workshops making their individual designs on raw bricks. The bricks were then fired and made into public art installations around Farnham.
